In this episode of Lessons Learned, Randy Newberg reflects back on his trip from the fall of 2020 to Wyoming. On the trip was himself, Beau Baty of Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas and Lorenzo Sartini of goHUNT. Together they packed way back into the backcountry with the aid of llamas to try and fill 3 mule deer tags on public land. It ended up being an absolutely remarkable trip as all three shot tremendous bucks before the trip was over. So Randy came away with 5 lessons that he learned from this trip, and all ended up being positive lessons. He talks about the importance of learning from other, having a plan and sticking to it, as well as the importance of being there when deer are up on their feet. Hopefully you can learn from Randy as well as the other guys and put these tactics into play on your next hunt.
