Randy and Michael start the day giving elk one last chance. They agree to go to a spot and bugle where a bull has been frequenting. If they don't get a response, then they will solely focus on moose. After a couple location bugles with no responses they decide to head to the willow flats.
They continue to just cover the unit for the rest of the day and go from glassing point to glassing point. Due to the area and amount of roads, utilizing the truck is going to be the most efficient use of time to try and find a moose.
That evening Randy hears what he believes to be a bull moose grunting and rubbing down in the thick willows below them. They can't see him from above so they decide to get the wind right and go after him. Doing a mixture of calling and raking, hopefully they can get within range of the bull down in the willows.
