On Day 6 of this Montana Moose hunt, Randy Newberg is up before first light with plans to find a bull moose. This will be his last day before he has to go home for a couple days before returning. Randy is starting to feel the pressure and his days left of hunting are starting to wind down.
He returns to where he saw two cows the day before. This hunt is only the second time Randy has ever been on a Shiras Moose hunt and he admits the fact that he is a novice is starting to show. He continues to just cover country and glass as many places as possible. He isn't able to relocate the cows from yesterday.
Randy tries going up higher in the mountains and glassing from there, but to no avail. All he can do is stay positive and keep hunting as efficiently as possible. In due time a moose will show himself.
