On Day 3 of this Montana Moose hunt, Randy and Michael are up well before daylight to try and locate a moose. They head right back to the spot where they heard that bull the night before. Randy walks out to the glassing knob right above the meadow. He runs back to the truck saying he sees the bull right where they left him but needs to grab is rifle.
Dale and Michael head to go locate him, but by the time they get there the moose has worked his way into the cover and out of sight. Randy keeps glassing hoping to intersect the bull when he comes out into an opening. After trying to wait it out he decides to go back down in there against his better judgement.
He tries calling and raking trees, hoping to get the bulls attention to relocate him and bring him within shooting range. They are unable to locate him down in the willows, so they cover nearby country and then head back to where they last saw the bull.
