In this episode of Lessons Learned, Randy shares 5 pointers of things that worked and things that were mistakes. His first point is to stick with it when you find a buck that you are interested in. Due to their habitual and territorial behavior, you will mostly likely be able to relocate him if you keep looking.

Next he advises to go where other hunters won't go or don't go. This is a common tactic for hunting elk or deer, but also is effective when it comes to pronghorn. Randy was able to chase bucks in an old lake bed that other hunters refused to go to.

The last few lessons have to do more with things that happen before the season even starts. From preseason preparation, to false expectations to how conditions are going to be, doing your homework beforehand really sets you up for success.
